Booksellers - Libreros Reunidos, S.L. is a privately-owned company that builds on the experience and seniority of a group formed in the past century with booksellers, business and technical people with the mission to publish, distribute and procure materials in the Spanish language to customers worldwide. We incorporated in Donostia, Spain, and are listed on the Registro Mercantil de Gipuzkoa, Tomo 1652, Folio 142, Sección 8, Hoja SS-13201. Our European Union Tax I.D. Number is ES B20599536. Like many others, Spain is a Treaty Country with the U.S.A. The Treaty encourages development of trade by allowing free access to each party's market and it includes provisions to avoid double taxation of operations.
We serve many public and private organizations, including universities and colleges, institutions, libraries, bookstores, companies, and individuals. Using our convenient storage facilities and with quick and practical access to most publishers' logistics, we routinely ship within 48 to 72 hours any item that is readily available in this market. This is a few days to a few months faster (depending, for instance, on where you are located) than anyone else we know. We may ship out of France or other countries closer to destination. By using the shortest possible supply chain, we can deliver just-in-time. We offer distribution, textbook services, mail order, and special order services to help professionals achieve higher turnover and better resource allocation with less invested capital, and convenience and cost-effective responsiveness to our individual customers. Unlike most publishers and colleagues here, we are not closed in August. We may close for a few days, though, for annual retooling. Our service may slow down around mid-August and at year-end, no matter how hard we try to keep our standards.
We offer Spanish languages-learning methods and materials as well as all fiction, non-fiction, and children’s books, including many by authors from the Americas that are increasingly being published or available in Spain. About 65,000 books are published every year in Spain by several thousand publishing organizations of all kinds — commercial, non-profit, government, large and small, centrally-located or remote, etc. Prices of books are controlled by Law in Spain. Prices are usually denominated in Euro currency. Due to evolving market conditions, currency exchange rates will fluctuate. Sometimes, widely. We normally do not charge for shipping and handling. The prevailing postage rate applies.
FOCUS ON PEOPLE
Rather than product-oriented, we are people-oriented. Serving worldwide has taught us not to try to predict what people will demand. Instead, we are set up to be responsive to customer needs and have created what seems to be a unique ability to quickly ship any items that are readily available, irrespective of our having them in stock or not.
The LANGUAGE-LEARNING space contains all available material covering: methods, grammars, textbooks, dictionaries, phrase books, audio and video courses, and linguistic studies. The titles range from elementary learning tools to highly specialized dictionaries in such areas as technical, computer science, medicine, law, business and finance. We carry methods by Edelsa, SGEL, Edinumen, Difusion, etc. And the new methods by knowledgeable publishers like Espasa and Anaya. A variety of accents and idiomatic expressions from the Americas are well covered in many methods. Most courses published in Spain are approved or recommended by the Spanish linguistic authorities in addition to being affordable compared to many others sold overseas.
NON-FICTION shelves of both Spain and Latin America offer works of literary theory, philosophy, economics, business and management, architecture, art, engineering, health care, feminist studies, history including pre-Columbian studies, works on the conquest and exploration of the World, colonial history, and contemporary politics.
The FICTION space covers the literature from the classics to the new or young writers, some of whom are less known outside their own countries.
And for younger readers, we offer CHILDREN’S BOOKS from many publishers in the Spanish languages. There are many collections ranging from toddlers to teens, from coloring or water books to adapted classics or readings structured by themes, each title presenting daily life stories where some specific values and sound civic and social attitudes are emphasized.
Primarily Art-oriented in scope, our ITALIAN language section covers high quality, facsimile versions of original works by Leonardo da Vinci, some in numbered copies, and other books on Renaissance and Italian art.
Classical languages and literatures are represented in our GREEK, LATIN, and BIBLICAL sections. There are many translated versions of most ancient classic works. We carry also quite a few in their original language with critical studies in Spanish.
TEXTBOOK SERVICES
We currently supply to school bookstores mostly in Europe and the United States. Many reading or recommended Spanish texts used in school and university courses are created and available in Spain and therefore, have to be imported. The good news is that the hazards of imports that plagued trade in the last century have been removed and transit times have been shortened to about a week or less for the most part of the world.
It now makes sense for you to use the shortest possible supply chain and avoid involving too many intermediaries that can only delay and add cost to what otherwise is a straightforward transaction. Ideally, you could buy directly from the publishers. The only thing is that most industries and sectors everywhere, including publishing, traditionally give priority to domestic sales and as a result, they can be too slow for you if you happen to be located overseas. Also, you may want to consolidate orders or reach small, remote publishers. You need someone that will give you access to the usual domestic delivery times: two or three days. There, we sure can help.
It is time to free your professors and your students of uncertainty and the extra costs associated to substandard chains of supply. We deliver door-to-door, fully insured, using large public service organizations that have not lost a single registered mail package since the 50’s, or well known international carriers that hardly make a mistake or a late delivery. If a problem occurs, we work with the carrier to fix it. As it so happens, it becomes a chance that allows us to remove any doubts created by the distance and an opportunity to get closer confidence links with our customers.
By making sure that you get the books well before the term begins, we fully support the teacher’s choice of a new title for an incoming course. No need for you to cancel or make last minute changes of the course outline to accommodate to whatever title your distributor or importer has in stock.
If you find yourselves overstocked, for whatever reason, we’ll take returns too. You can send them back and we will give full credit to your account for the value of the books.
We provide a full range of services including extensive bibliographic support. For example, if you inquire about a specific title, we can recommend the least expensive version that meets your quality requirements or suggest alternates in the event that your choice happens to be out of print. It is important for you and then for us to exercise drive and imagination to enrich the quality and variety of texts and topics that can be taught in the Spanish language.
Orders as well as Queries can be submitted by email, fax, mail, and phone.
SPECIAL ORDERS
If you require an uncommon title, even books that are semi-out-of-print, we offer special order services for any item that we believe we can obtain in the market. We use catalogues from many publishers as well as several databases to look and find what you need. Similarly, we may procure old and definitely out of print books or microfilms for research purposes as well as books in English, French, Portuguese and other languages.

BOOKSTORE SERVICES
We are financially independent but enjoy working with other professionals that strive for faster and cost-effective service to their customers. We are always looking for joint-ventures or associations with others in the field that may be interested in efficiently providing Spanish materials to their own markets. We can supply new releases, back-list and special-order titles to bookstores. We can provide established trade bookstores with a list of standard titles that we believe would make a fine hard core collection in the Spanish language.
We keep in touch by email or phone as often as required to fine tune with your operation. Rather than trying to push sales of books for stock, we aim at achieving a service level that is excellent in terms of speed of response, variety of titles and cost-effective delivery. If you know a better way to expand your sales, we are listening.
Partners that share with us our effort to augment the benefit to the customer and to reduce general expenses or unnecessary costs are our best friends.
Email our sales department for information.
